crowned Thibault Panas “Sommelier of the year” in Switzerland this autumn.
The man who looks after the 75,000 bottles in the Beau-Rivage Palace wine cellar with an infectious passion and great professionalism has been accorded the highest honour from the finest experts this month.
In addition, working across all the restaurants within the hotel, ranging from the Japanese restaurant Miyako, the Café Beau-Rivage to the Anne-Sophie Pic restaurant at the Beau-Rivage Palace (famous for its two Michelin stars in Lausanne and four generations of three Michelin stars in France), the sommelier has an interesting job: buying the wines, matching the wine to the food, and developing the wines on offer for the clients.
