St. Moritz Art Masters is celebrating its 5th jubilee in 2012 and will bring cultural diversity to the region and enhance it with international contribution. The various platforms of the event will be unique in its format. Galleries, institutions, artist talks and workshops are building the fundament of St. Moritz Art Masters. Works by well-known national and international artists such as Hamish Fulton, Tom Sachs, Carl Andre, Mimmo Rotella and many more will be presented in no less than 30 settings in and around St. Moritz. This year’s art festival has a specific national focus on the emerging country Brazil. Representing artist are Vik Muniz, Saint Clair Cemin, Pedro Wirz or designer Paulo Sergio Niemeyer. Switzerland contributes to the show with works by Lutz & Guggisberg, Urs Cavelti or Giuliani Pedretti. The programme is enriched with Walk of Art Tours, artist talks, the art and architecture symposium E.A.T. (Engadin Art Talks), a photo workshop with the renowned photographers Amedeo M. Turello, Steve McCurry and Jock Sturges and by various evening events. The visitor to St. Moritz Art Masters SAM has the chance both to experience top-class art in a unique natural setting and to meet the contributing artists themselves. Many artists will stay in St. Moritz for several days, allowing art enthusiasts to get in touch with them, exchange ideas and discuss art.
