This magnificent Manor house, the Portuguese “Quinta” inspired by the “Petit Trianon” in Versailles, was built by the first Count of Póvoa, the present owner’s ancestor. The frescoes with imaginary landscapes found throughout the house are the work of Jean Baptiste Pillement (1728-1808),who’s original work still in perfect conditions add to the atmosphere a sense of uniqueness and return to the elegant days of sense and sensibility.
